Hi! I’m a researcher, innovator, and problem-solver on a mission to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and real-world impact. I’m currently a MEng student at QMUL, where I explore the fascinating realm of assistive technology,
Over the past few years, I’ve been immersed in projects that aim to change lives, whether it’s designing bionic hands that are like real hands, developing low cost vision assistance systems, or developing water purification systems to provide clean drinking water. These experiences have shaped my belief that engineering is more than just solving problems, it’s about reimagining possibilities for those who really need it.
When I’m not in the lab, you'll find me leading an initiative of sorts. I am deeply passionate about biomedical engineering and the endless opportunities there are to better human life. I am also deeply committed to developing a design curriculum that brings out the most innovative side of my fellow engineers. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with my professors to redevelop the 3rd year Engineering Design Project module.
Outside of research and leadership, I love to cook! I love learning about the history behind each dish. I believe that dishes are a way to connect us to old traditions and understanding the trials and tribulations of certain communities. Every week I try to cook a dish from a different culture in the world (hopefully one day I'll restart my food instagram account!)
Upcoming Events:
1. Global SI-PASS: I will carrying out a short workshop for an international audience where I further investigate AI bias based on wordplay and how this can be detrimental for using AI solely for studying early-March 2025.
2. Panelist for QMUL's Skills & Employability Week on forging your path in mid-March 2025.
3. QMUL's Industrial Liaison Forum in mid-March 2025.
